The Michelin Guide's review
The hub for all the city's museums of interest. This broad avenue runs from Parque Central to the bay. Once the playground of Cuban aristocrats, it is flanked by buildings in a variety of styles, including some fine example of Rococo, groaning under stuccowork and decoration, but all have façades patinated by time. Its central promenade lined by wrought-iron lamps is one of the city's most agreeable walks.
