On the corner of Avenida de las Misiones and Avenida Cárcel, this Italian Renaissance-style façade seems out of keeping with the neighbouring busy thoroughfares of Parque de los Mártires. Built in 1905, this elegant house is now home to the Museo Nacional de la Música (museum of music). Its rooms display an eclectic range of Cuban and foreign instruments, including pianos, Indian sitars, Haitian drums, balalaikas, plus music boxes, photos of musicians and musical scores.
