The Michelin Guide's review
Founded in 1828, this natural history museum is one of the oldest in Norway. It focuses on the period after the last Ice Age, showing, for example, how glaciers shaped the landscapes, and how rocks from what is now Sweden and Denmark found themselves imprisoned in icebergs. You will also encounter the wildlife that lived in each of the different climatic periods. A botanical garden rounds off the museum.
