Bobovac Royal Fortress
The Green Guide
The Michelin Guide's review
A mausoleum of several kings of Bosnia, this 14C fortress also served as a display room for the treasure and the royal crown. It was built on a high hill above the Bukovica River, a strategic location apt to defend the city from the enemy. However, under heavy Turkish cannon fire, the castle fell in 1463. Today, only a few vestiges of this proud fortress remain.
