The Michelin Guide's review
This 70m-high tower is all that remains of the old 14C town hall, demolished in 1820. The narrow stairs lead up to the clock mechanism, from where there is a fine view of the city, through the openings at the level of the Baroque cupola which replaced the Gothic spire in 1686. The huge cellars, once prison cells and torture chambers, are now the Ludowy theatre and a café.
