This museum charts the 300-year history of Kongsberg's silver mines, using scale models to illustrate how the mines were accessed, miners' working conditions etc. One of the museum's unique exhibits is an 18C model in perfect working order showing the procedure for extracting and merging minerals. The old foundry is in the basement of the museum and the unique collection of minerals and rare specimens of pure silver in strange shapes is worth seeing.
