The Michelin Guide's review
The Parish Church of St Egyd, built in 1692, was given its onion-shaped bell towers in the early 18C and Neo-Baroque façade in 1893. The vast and richly decorated interior is also magnificently furnished. The vault was painted by Joseph Mölck, and the choir by Joseph Fromiller. For three centuries, tombstones have testified to this church's importance, such as the tomb of the American writer Julian Green (1900-1998), a member of the French Academy.
