This splendid park is remote enough as to only be accessible by boat or by plane. The Mahale Mountains National Park, situated on the idyllic shores of Lake Tanganyika, is renowned for offering chimpanzee viewing. A peaceful atmosphere and mountain setting, with the sounds of primates calling in the background, as in Gombe Stream National Park.
