The highest point in Hungary rises to 1 014m. Marked by a rock painted in the country's colours (red, white and green), it commands a fine view of the region. It's worth climbing up to the platform of the television tower for an even more extensive panorama. To the south lies the Great Plain and to the north, in fine weather, you will be able to see the Tatras mountains. Skiing enthusiasts will be interested to know that a few skiing slopes lead down from the top of Kékesteto.
