Varnished tiles, wavy lines, ceramic detail, relief decoration and a profusion of colour - this palace is a splendid example of the Art Nouveau style that emerged in the 20C. Venture inside - the palace is home to the town's modern art gallery with some fine works by 20C Hungarian artists. The former games room now known as the Great Hall is definitely worth a look for its amazing fresco of plants and peacocks on a blue background of stucco waves.
