Pažaislis Convent is a fine example of 17C Baroque architecture. It is dominated by the hexagonal dome, approximately 54m-high, of the Church of the Visitation of the Virgin. The complex, still an active convent lived in by the nuns of St Casimir, is a haven of tranquillity, the calm only disturbed by the annual summer classical music festival.
