The Michelin Guide's review
This plateau, (altitude of 1,000m/3,300ft), dominates the Kampot plains and the islands on the horizon. In the 1920s, it was the site of a high-altitude French resort, of which the Bokor Palace Hotel and its casino were the emblems. After many years of neglect, it is now a luxury hotel. Bokor National Park (also known as Preah Monivong National Park) occupies part of the plateau, but unfortunately the rich vegetation and wildlife weigh little against the appetite of building developers.
