Once you are beyond the south gate, or so-called Knights' Gate (Kavaljeren), the small square of Lilla Torget, lined with 17C buildings and a section of the ramparts, reveals its medieval character. Västra Storgatan leads to Stortorget, where the 17C town hall (Rådhuset) stands facing the church situated in the centre of the square.
