The Michelin Guide's review
The Kaministiquia River plunges 39m over a giant staircase of stone schist slabs wedged into a narrow gorge. These falls were the first obstacle negotiated by the fur traders of the North West Company when they left Fort William on the trip northwards. The wooded banks and peaceful scenery add to the grandeur and beauty of the site. Fine views from the bridge.
