The David collection is situated on Kongens Have in a handsome 19C house that used to belong to a lawyer, Christian Ludwig David, who turned it into a public institution. It showcases a fine collection of Islamic art from the Middle Ages and paintings, crockery and furniture from 18C France, together with Scandinavian ceramics and silverwork.
