The Michelin Guide's review
A remnant of the ancient Forêt des Carnutes, which is said to have once been the scene of Druid ceremonies, Bercé is a gem among France's forests on account of the quality of its oaks. It exudes an awesome atmosphere with its canopy of giant, centuries-old trees, and is a paradise for nature lovers, hikers and cyclists. In the shade of the beech trees, birdsong and the sound of babbling brooks accompany you on your walk.
