This section of the wall close to Simatai has the advantage of still being largely practicable and less visited, with the additional benefit of not having been overly restored. Jinshanling combines an authentic atmosphere with beautiful landscapes which, while not quite on a par with the magnificence of Simatai, are still grandiose, particularly when viewed from the 25 watchtowers. Although rarely visited in years gone by, the site has grown in interest recently, attracting an increasing number of hikers.
