Lagoa Azul and Lagoa do Paraíso are in fact just one lagoon: the Lagoa de Jijoca (30km2), which lies 10km south of Jeri. You can take a buggy to its fine-sandy beaches and enjoy their modest facilities: straw huts serving grilled fish, coloured hammocks hanging above the water, and kayaks for rent. The Lagoa da Torta is located near Tatajuba, 36km west of Jeri. The road runs through breathtaking landscapes: white mangrove, the Rio Guriú that you can explore by boat, and the ruins of Tatajuba Velha, a village that was buried under the sand from the 1960s-1980s.
