St James' Church
The Green Guide
The Michelin Guide's review
This late 15C church stands on the site of a small hermitage founded by Alfonso X in the 13C. Its appearance is rather impressive and the solid buttresses ending in pinnacles are especially worthy of note. The main façade is, as was customary at that time, of Flemish inspiration. There are two flamboyant sections on either side of the doorway, with splayed arches, ending in an ogee arch topped by the coat of arms of the Catholic Monarchs.
