The Michelin Guide's review
Just outside Jemez Springs, Soda Dam is an astonishing natural dam with rocky nooks and crannies (90m long, 15m high and 15m thick) formed by the gradual calcification of water with a high carbonate content. The road then rises in the mountains, and the vegetation changes: conifers, more and more numerous along jagged ridges, compose an Alpine landscape.
