  The Michelin Guide's review
Perched among frangipani on a promontory overlooking the sea, Pura Rambut Siwi occupies a truly beautiful site. Built in the 16C under the aegis of Danghyang Nirartha (as was the case at Tanah Lot), it housed a reliquary of hair from the holy man. Legend recounts that he miraculously ended an epidemic ravaging the region. Nirartha gave a lock of his hair (rambut) to grateful villagers, which continues to be venerated (siwi) in the temple.
