This 23km-long glacial lake, dubbed the "Chaba Imne" (Beaver Lake) by the natives, is the largest and most well-known expanse of water in the Rockies. A boat trip on the lake is a must. It will take you to Spirit Island, one of the most photographed spots in the world, which boasts fantastic views of the frozen summits that dominate the southernmost tip of the lake.
