The Michelin Guide's review
Highway 16 travels through Jasper National Park and Mount Robson National Park, ending at Prince Rupert, by the Pacific. It is also known as Yellowhead Highway, named after a blond Iroquois freeman ("Tête Jaune" in French), who, around the 1820s, hid furs and provisions in a settlement that now bears his name. From Jasper, this large road sweeps towards the source of the Miette, to the east, and Rearguard Falls, to the west, taking in all the splendour of Mount Robson Provincial Park on the way.
