Jajce Fortress

 Michelin Guide
 Well worth the diversions
Civil and military monument
  The Michelin Guide's review
At the top of the hill where Jajce lies, there has been a fortress surrounded by ramparts since the Middle Ages. The gate decorated with the arms of the Kingdom of Bosnia harks back to the history of the place, but it was under Turkish domination that the fortress took on its final form. From that time, part of the keep, the ramparts, an 18C powder magazine and the Bear Tower remain. From the fortress, you can admire the Vrbas valley and the historic part of the city.
