The Michelin Guide's review
The Baroque St James' Cathedral has a concave façade, flanked by two towers and with a great dome on top. You can hear its chimes at 12.15pm every day. The interior has a Baroque layout and three saucer domes across the nave, and a lantern dome over the chancel, giving the illusion of high domes. You can see two masterpieces there: Our Lady of Succour (Maria Hilf), by Lucas Cranach, and the Mannerist-decorated mausoleum of Archduke Maximilian III, who died in 1618.
