The Michelin Guide's review
Founded in 1582 by Petru Schiopul (Peter the Lame), the monastery walls and tower stand at the end of a road lined by gardens. Roses and a fine lime tree surround the stone and brick church, which features Wallachian rope-twist detail, unusual in a Moldavian building. Inside, there is another surprise in the shape of the three arches delimiting the naos. From behind the complex there is a fine view of the town.
