The Michelin Guide's review
The Fraser River flows over a course of 1,200km, from its source in the Rockies to the Georgia Strait near Vancouver. As far as Shuswap Lake, the Trans-Canada Highway skirts the deep U-shaped valleys of the Fraser and Thompson Rivers, which wind through the gorges of the coastal mountains and the wild, arid hills of the inland plateau of British Columbia. The deafening sound of fast-flowing rivers and the majestic silence of the mountains complete the stunning picture.
