Kowloon
The Green Guide
The Michelin Guide's review
For some expats, Kowloon is still a no-go area in Hong Kong and they refuse to step foot in the place. This attitude is no doubt a throw-back to the territorial division of the Colonial era when the Brits occupied Hong Kong Island and the Chinese inhabited the mainland. Kowloon doesn't have the same glamourous appeal as Central. More crowded, noisier and darker, the peninsula is crossed from north to south by Nathan Road, a shopping mecca.
