Strandir coastline

The Michelin Guide's review
At the eastern end of the West Fjords, lined by Húnaflói (Húna Bay) the Strandir coast still remains a remote and isolated region, connected by a cul-de-sac runway and tiny airport. This land of wild fjords and sombre mountains, tinged with an air of magic and mystery, is nonetheless increasingly popular. From the Museum of Icelandic Sorcery & Witchcraft in Hólmavík and the puffins on the island of Grímsey, to the hot springs of Laugarhóll or Krossnes: a land worth discovering.
