The Michelin Guide's review
Keen to break with the architecture of the Chinese and Japanese districts and to create a distinction between the communities, the French built a series of colonnaded colonial-style houses along the former Rue Courbet. This quiet street, lined by trees offering welcome shade, is very attractive with its yellow façades and blue doors and shutters. Tran Duong House, at n° 25, was built in 1887 and has retained all its original features, as well as several early-20C items of French furniture.
