The Michelin Guide's review
Abraham Lincoln spent the first two years of his life on this rocky land, known locally as the Sinking Spring farm. After watching the introductory film at the museum, go outside to climb the 56 steps-one for each year of Lincoln's life-to the granite and marble memorial (1909, John Russell Pope) that encloses a replica of the cabin where Lincoln was born.
