The Michelin Guide's review
If you need to send a letter, the city's central post office combines the functional with the aesthetic. The building's interior provides an evocative reminder of colonial times with its fans and wooden counters. Admire also its remarkable metal architecture, designed by Gustave Eiffel, which would not seem out of place in the main hall of a railway station. On the walls by the entrance, note the original map of Saigon and its surrounding area as well as another of the telegraph lines in Cochin China and Cambodia, dating back to 1936.
