The Michelin Guide's review
The 19C Thien Hau temple was built in Cholon by Chinese from Canton to worship the goddess of the sea, who provides help to ships in peril. It attracts a large number of worshippers and visitors, who come here to admire the small ceramic figurines adorning the first inner courtyard, as well as the three statues of Thien Hau in Indian file.
