The Michelin Guide's review
The Archaeological Museum is housed in a villa shaded by imposing cypress trees. The right wing showcases objects found during excavations carried out in the town, as well as models of Augusta (Roman name of Hisarya) in its heyday. Among the most interesting elements are the bust of Emperor Diocletian and a collection of amphorae. Remains of Roman baths have also been excavated. An ethnographic exhibition completes the visit.
