Small Mountain of the Immortals Island
The Green Guide
The Michelin Guide's review
The island of the Lesser Mountain of the Immortals, the largest of West Lake's three islands, was created in the 17C. Forming something like a lake within an island within a lake, it encircles four lakes connected by four bridges which are linked by a central islet. In summer, the ponds are covered with lotus flowers. To the south of the island, Three Pagodas Mirroring the Moon (1621) appear above the water.
