The Green Guide
The Michelin Guide's review
In small but pleasant gardens surrounded by Hamilton's city centre, it reflects the life of a prosperous Ontario family between the years 1840 and 1960. The McQuestens, who arrived in Hamilton in the early 19C, were pioneers in the heavy industry that became Hamilton's lifeblood. Involved in public life, they inspired such projects as the Royal Botanical Gardens and the Niagara Parkway. The house contains the original furnishings.
