The Michelin Guide's review
This 11C-16C castle, depicted by pointed round towers and a crenellated wall, stands on two islets on a tributary of the Hallwiler See. Enter via a drawbridge into a ceremonial courtyard leading onto the second island and the main building that is now a museum of Folk Arts and Traditions devoted to the lives of the lords and their vassals from the 16C. Finish your tour in style with a boat trip on Lake Hallwil (nature reserve).
