The Michelin Guide's review
The stunning beauty and incredible diversity of landscapes of the park have made it a Unesco heritage site. Stretched over 22,000km²/8,494mi² of the southwest corner of the Yukon, it includes most of the Canadian St. Elias Mountains. From the Alaska Highway the rugged, snowcapped Kluane Ranges can be seen. Behind them and largely invisible from the highway are the Icefield Ranges, among the highest in Canada, several of whose summits are over 4,500m/15,000ft high.
