The Michelin Guide's review
Nestled in the higher part of town, Guadix's cave district extends between ravines, steep paths and small brown hills. The caves are spread out along the slopes, the entrance to one sometimes on top of the roof of another. In one cave, the conditions in which residents lived during the 19C have been recreated. Working tools and equipment used by shepherds in the local area are displayed in its outbuildings.
