Edsel & Eleanor Ford House
The Green Guide
The Michelin Guide's review
The only child of Henry Ford and Clara Bryant, Edsel Ford was an avid art collector. His house, completed in 1929, was designed by Detroit architect Albert Kahn to resemble an English country manor. The 60-room manse reflects the eclectic tastes of the couple, who liked ancient Chinese pottery and African masks as much as Flemish tapestries, Cézanne and Van Gogh as much as Raphael, Rococo as much as Art Deco.
