The Michelin Guide's review
The former palace of the Dauphinois parliament and the heart of the legal system for 500 years, is the most interesting civil monument of historic Grenoble. The oldest of the two wings, built under Louis XI from 1490 to 1510 is characteristic of Late Gothic. The right wing is Renaissance and the left was restored in the late 19C. Inside, the ceiling and woodwork are particularly worthy of note.
