This church with three naves (13C-14C) has no chancel, lending an impression of massive stockiness, tempered slightly by the elegant structure of the eastern pediment. The pulpit, magnificently sculpted by Joachim Mekelenborg of Rostock, dates from 1587. The fresco depicts a whale beached on the Wieck shore in 1545. Organ by Friedrich Albert Mehmel (1866).
