The Michelin Guide's review
This museum is housed in the former hospital. The polychrome low-relief on the entrance gate (1609) represents Lazarus the leper begging at a rich man's table. The visit combines a visit of the building and its collections: the late-18C pharmacy, kitchens, chapel and a collection of decorative art from the 17C to the 1930s, ranging from paintings from the Barbizon and Hague schools to items of religious art, instruments of torture, pipes, and Gouda pottery.
