The Michelin Guide's review
The town owes its rich heritage to its prosperity in the 15C and 16C - it manufactured sheets and traded in the famous woad dye. To the right of the church, Peterskirche, there stands the oldest civic building in the town, the Waidhaus (tithe barn, 13C), where the precious tinctorial plant that produced the colour blue was stored.
