The Michelin Guide's review
Preceded by a porch whose columns rest on crouching big cats, in typical Lombardy fashion, this 12C church has two chancels, one on top of each other in a very rare style dating back to the origins of the church and which were to enable the faithful to literally place themselves "under" the protection of the patron saint of this church. Look out for the sculpted decoration (symbolic animals and geometric motifs) of the capitals in the crypt and the baptismal font.
