The Michelin Guide's review
West Bali National Park covers the whole of the mountainous west of the island, which has remained unspoiled and is officially devoted to preserving rare species on land and at sea. The forest, which covers the mountains up to an altitude of 1,400m, is varied: mangrove swamps, tropical vegetation, deciduous species. Take the time to explore the park on foot (with a guide) or by boat (bird watching), perhaps twinned with a diving expedition in Pulau Menjangan Marine Park.
