The Michelin Guide's review
A short distance from the historic centre, Via Garibaldi (formerly Strada Nuova) was in the mid-16C one of Italy's most beautiful thoroughfares. Lined by sumptuous palaces, these were the residences of rich and powerful noble families. Look out for N°7 Palazzo Lomellino, whose distinctive facade is embellished by masks, festoons etc, and the long facade of Palazzo Tursi at N°9, home to exhibition halls that are part of the Musei di Strada Nuova.
