The Michelin Guide's review
This museum housed in a handsome building reminiscent of an Italian palazzo was founded by the Genevan patron Gustave Revilliod (1817-1890). It houses magnificent collections illustrating ten centuries of the history of ceramics: earthenware from Mesopotamia and Delft, Italian Renaissance majolica and Meissen porcelains hold their own beside the productions of the Swiss manufacturers. The museum also traces the evolution of Chinese and Japanese porcelain imported into Europe from the 16C to the late 18C.
