The Michelin Guide's review
The view from the rounded summit of this peak at an altitude of 2,322m/5,737ft is quite stunning. In addition to the Gavarnie crater (the bottom of which is invisible), you can also admire the Marboré peak with the comb of the Grande Cascade glacier. Further west, the Sarredets ridge in the foreground somewhat hides Roland's Breach. Even further away, to northwest is the outline of the Vignemale and its glacier, Ossue, and to the northeast, the Néouvielle range in front of the Midi de Bigorre peak, whose antenna is visible.
