Whale Museum
The Green Guide
The Michelin Guide's review
This grass-roots-style museum offers simple but educational exhibits on the behavior and unique physiology of these marine mammals. Echolocation, mating, calving and "singing" are among the topics covered, as is an explanation of the vastly different kinds of cetaceans, from porpoises and dolphins to deep-diving behemoths like the sperm whale. Naturally, Puget Sound's most famous denizen, the orca (formerly called the killer whale) is prominently featured.
